How I actually test your website

Many issues don’t show up in automated scans; they only appear through real interaction.

Screen Reader Testing

Real assistive tech. Real behaviour.

  • NVDA, VoiceOver, mobile

  • How content is actually experienced

  • Not just how it’s coded

Zoom & Resizing

Does it break under pressure?

  • Tested up to 400% zoom

  • Layout stability

  • Mobile + responsive behaviour

Keyboard Navigation

Can your site work without a mouse?

  • Menus, forms, interactions

  • Focus states + navigation flow

  • Full keyboard usability

Structure & Semantics

Is your content understandable?

  • Headings + hierarchy

  • Navigation clarity

  • Assistive tech compatibility

Colour & Contrast

Can users actually read it?

  • Text clarity

  • Button visibility

  • Low vision + colour blindness

Most accessibility issues aren’t technical — they’re usability problems.

They only show up when someone tries to use your site in the real world.

That’s what I test.

My background is in graphic design (BA Hons), but my work today is shaped by something more important — lived experience of disability.

I’ve experienced first-hand how inaccessible systems create real barriers.
Not just inconvenience — but exclusion, frustration, and missed opportunities.

That’s what led me to specialise in digital accessibility.

Today, I work with organisations to identify and remove those barriers through structured accessibility audits, inclusive design, and practical, real-world testing.

My approach is different.

I don’t rely on automated tools or surface-level checks.

I test how things actually work:

  • Screen readers

  • Keyboard navigation

  • Zoom and reflow

  • Real user interaction

Because most accessibility issues aren’t technical — they’re usability problems.

And they only show up when someone tries to use your product in the real world.

This combination of:

  • Design training

  • Accessibility expertise

  • Lived experience

allows me to bridge the gap between compliance and usability.

Not just helping you meet standards,
but helping you create digital experiences that actually work for people.
