What is inclusive design?

Inclusive design considers the different ways people access, understand and interact with information.

This includes disabled people, neurodivergent people, older users, people using assistive technology and anyone experiencing temporary or situational barriers.

It isn’t about creating one design that works perfectly for everyone. It is about identifying unnecessary barriers, providing flexibility and making thoughtful design decisions from the beginning.
