Accessiblity Auditing of the website of Productive Edge VA

Helping a small business identify barriers and prioritise improvements

I reviewed Productive Edge VA’s website to identify accessibility concerns that could make it harder for visitors to read information, explore services and navigate the site.

The findings were brought together in a one-page snapshot, with practical recommendations written in plain English.

What the review highlighted

The preliminary review identified concerns around:

  • Missing descriptions for meaningful images.

  • Colour contrast that could make text harder to read.

  • Keyboard navigation and focus indicators.

  • Link wording that did not clearly explain its destination.

Practical recommendations

The snapshot set out six improvements to prioritise: add useful image descriptions, provide a skip-to-content link, make keyboard focus more visible, check text and button contrast, improve the readability of pricing information, and use clearer link wording.

Each recommendation connected an accessibility concern with a practical action, helping the business understand where to begin.

The outcome

A concise, one-page overview turned the review findings into a manageable starting point for improving the website. It could also support a discussion with a website designer or developer about the next steps.
